Embroidery, 2 years in the making. Kawaii Rose: requested BambooDog to draw, and I to embroider these way back September of 2011. I finished the last design a while ago, but I never had a chance to do a family portrait in the same style as BambooDog because of the huge amount of thread colors. That has now been rectified, and the result is here. Obviously, based upon the originator of the heart ponies, BambooDog and done with permission.
I make patches for the cost of materials: http://ethepony.ecrater.com/
If you have an embroidery machine, you can download designs and learn how to make patches on my blog: http://ethepony.blogspot.com
I need to make the fluttershy patch version. All are based on art by the originator of the heart ponies, BambooDog. Done with permission. As with most designs, I can make them for the cost of materials.
The folks I met at Unicon were great, and I had a great time talking to you all! Here is some of the awesome swag that folks were nice enough to give me, which made me feel wonderful. Sparklepeep was the first one to nearly jump over my table and give me the most beautiful hand embroidered Pinkie Pie apron I have ever seen! I have so much swag I can’t fit it all here. Andy Price was nice enough to sign an embroidered patch of Big Mac that I made from one of his drawings in the comic!
Braeburned stopped by, and so did a ton of folks that have ordered from me before. I really love the picture of Rarity, it could almost have been me the week leading up to the Unicon, it was the best present ever!
Actually, that isn’t true. The best present was getting to talk to all of you that stopped by. Be it about embroidery, business, or just getting to know you all. The chats I had were well worth the trip. Thank you all for coming by to see me, you made it a very special convention for me.
Done! Here is giant Rarity patch compared to normal 4” tall Rarity sitting on my coffee table. She is bigger than my monitor is.
Rarity from Suited for Success as a patch. Request received on February 4, 2011 and I finished it today. That’s only 661 days; which is totally normal if anyone asks.
